We urge all participants with a 12-marker test AND a 11/12 or 12/12 match within our project to upgrade to at least a 25-marker, but preferably a 37-marker test; doing so can greatly reduce the time to the most recent common ancestor. This of course, can help determining which time frame to research for common links.

ID = Participant's ID#, links to Contact List or GedCom owner info if participant uploaded a GedCom; from there the GedCom can be viewed. Please note that the contact list will only show information on those participants who have previously signed a consent AND have not yet entered their information in the genealogy section.

Ancestor = Participant's ancestor# in the Y-DNA Tree, links to participant in the Y-DNA tree.

HaploGroups in green have been confirmed by SNP testing. HaploGroups in red have been predicted by Family Tree DNA based on unambiguous results in the individual's personal page. HaploGroups in blue: FTDNA feels that comparative results are not clear enough to confirm the HaploGroup.

If a – is in the HaploGroup field the HaploGroup could not be determined. In both these cases FTDNA feels that the comparative results are not clear and unambiguous and if the kit holder wants to know their SNP with 100% confidence they may consider ordering a SNP confirmation test.
